PRIMARY PURPOSE The purpose of the Nightly Newcomers Group is to stay sober, aid the alcoholic who still suffers and to foster and encourage the unity and service of the AA legacy. The group has defined its message as: Sobriety-freedom from alcohol-through the teaching and practice of the Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions. This message is carried most effectively by one alcoholic sharing Experience,Strength & Hope with another, using the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous for guidance & inspiration. MEMBERSHIP DUES There are no dues for membership. We are self-supporting through or own contributions.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP Anyone who has a desire to stop drinking is a member of Alcoholic Anonymous. (3rd Tradition)
A.A. Preamble: Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. When District 7 lists a group on this schedule, at their request, there is an informal agreement that the group will abide by the Al-Anon Traditions and keep its door open to any AlAnon member. Listing here does not constitute approval of any group's manner of practicing the Al-Anon program. If the group you attend is not right for you, please try another.
